FishPilot respects your right to control your personal data. This page explains how to delete your account and what happens when you do.
How to Delete Your Account
You can delete your FishPilot account using either of these methods:
Option 1: Delete in the App (Recommended)
The fastest way to delete your account is directly in the FishPilot app:
- 1 Open the FishPilot app on your device
- 2 Tap the Settings icon (gear icon)
- 3 Scroll down to the Account section
- 4 Tap "Delete Account"
- 5 Confirm deletion when prompted
Your account and all associated data will be permanently deleted immediately.
Option 2: Delete via Email
If you cannot access the app, you can request account deletion by email:
- 1 Send an email to support@fishpilot.app
- 2 Use the subject line: "Delete My Account"
- 3 Send the email from the address associated with your FishPilot account
- 4 We will verify your identity and process your request within 7 business days
What Data is Deleted
When you delete your account, the following data is permanently removed from our systems:

| Saved catches and photos | Deleted immediately |
| Preferences and settings | Deleted immediately |
| Gamification progress (badges, streaks) | Deleted immediately |
| Subscription data | Deleted immediately* |
*Subscription billing is managed by Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Deleting your FishPilot account does not automatically cancel your subscription. Please cancel your subscription through your device's app store before deleting your account to avoid future charges.
Data Retention
Immediate Deletion
All personal data listed above is deleted immediately upon account deletion. We do not retain copies of your personal information after you delete your account.
Data We May Retain
In limited circumstances, some data may be retained:
- Anonymized analytics data (cannot be linked back to you) may be retained for up to 90 days for product improvement purposes
- Legal compliance records may be retained if required by law (e.g., financial transaction records for tax purposes)
- Fraud prevention data may be retained if your account was involved in terms of service violations
Important: This Action is Permanent
Account deletion cannot be undone. Once deleted, your data cannot be recovered. Make sure to:
- Export any catch data you want to keep before deleting
- Cancel your subscription through the app store if applicable
